Not much is known about the author, Patrick Grehan Smyth (1857-?), but he must have been popular since this book was first published in 1883. Despite several edions since then, it is uncommon to scarce in the trade. This is a Very Good copy… of the Fifth Edition. Green cloth binding, ruled, withb a lovely Irish harp device on the front cover. Clean text; 306 pages. Minor rubbing to the margins, and a crease and some spotting on the rear cover. A very sound copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Fifth Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
