Textured brown cloth stamped and lettered in gilt on cover and spine. 214 pp. with index, plus ads at rear for various scientific devices and supplies and with publisher's catalogue. With 40 illustrations, diagrams and charts. The author's first book (Soddy won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1921). A tight, bright example, all gilt stamping still bright. The dark brown endpapers have a bit of tidemarking at their edges but this does not affect the blanks or text block. Previous owner's signature first blank and a small numbered sticker, apparently from a private collection, at the base of the spine. Very nice copy indeed of this important and seminal work in its field.…
