Recounted by a nun of her order , but put into polished prose by Genesio Soderini, a Venetian nobleman. The current Abbess and nuns of the Collegio delle Concette sign the dedication and likely commissioned the work. Likely the only printed source on Malatesta s life." (JHU Women of the Book Collection) Frontispiece includes engraved portrait of Sister Malatesta signed "Ant: Luciani Ven: auct. et scul: 1715". Title vignette; initials; tail-pieces. FINE COPY, internally very clean and crisp. RARE. The art historian Rodolfo Pallucchini considered Antonio Luciani as one of the best engravers active in Venice during the early 18th century.
