She lived to be a centenarian. This charming little book is perhaps her most famous. Itâ??s semi-autobiographical, despite being a work of fiction. A beautiful object in its own right, this will appeal, not just to children themselves (in fact, most twenty-first children will probably find it too bland and twee), but to serious adult collectors of beautiful childrenâ??s books.
