Flat-signed on the half-title page in a neat ink hand by the artist/photographer. Approximately 70 unnumbered pages. The book and the print case are both bound in brown cloth. The book with thirty-three duo-tone plates, taken between 1999 and 2001. An immensely clean interior; no fingering marks or other demerits observed. Almost certainly unread. The portfolio housed in a custom clamshell box of brown cloth. The clamshell case 12.25 x 10.25 inches. An As New copy in an As New clamshell box. Scarce in any condition. 4 lbs. 6 oz. The first monograph from fine art photographer Leslie Sokolow. The photos are from Sokolow's acclaimed Oceana series. These images portray the ocean as seen from the shore, in shadows, in rainstorms, and at night. The photographer has been drawn to capturing the ocean's power and delicacy. The images were taken in Santa Monica, Venice California, East Hampton and Sagaponack New York. This work has been exhibited at the Peter Fetterman Gallery in Santa Monica and The Bonnie Benrubi Gallery in New York City. These pieces are in many public collections including the Palm Springs Art Museum and the George Eastman House Permanent Collection. Signed by Illustrator(s).
