The book is tight with solid hinges and good tips. There is a small "Plantation Book Shop, Natchez, Miss" sticker on map endpapers. The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. Facsimile signatures on the title page and front cover. The dust jacket is unclipped ($4.95) with fading to the spine and light wear. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 192 pages. 5¾ x 8½". Forward by Dore Schary, and nine sketches of primary characters by Sol Baer Fielding. Originally written by Sinclair Lewis and Dory Schary as a screenplay for MGM (that never got made), it is an allegory of World War II written as a Western novel. The main villain is named Hygatt (Hitler), with his henchmen are Gribbles (Goebbels), and Gerrett (Goering). Also featured are Churchill (Chancel) and Stalin (Slavin).
