Photographs are briefly captioned in Portuguese, English, German, and French. Topedge and spine base sunned, first and last pages a bit foxed, top… corners bumped throughout, very good in a worn, about very good dust jacket rippled on the lower panel. The image are fine. Briefly Inscribed by Solmssen on the front fly. A passable copy of a cheaply-bound photography book, however the photographs provide an engaging snapshot of the city in the late 60s and the quality of the reproductions is high. According to his jacket bio, Solmssen was a former *LIFE* photographer who worked as a diplomat in Brazil for five years. Signed.
