Black- and green-pictorial grey cloth over boards a little discolored, marked and rubbed, and slightly bumped and worn at the extremities. Some foxing throughout. The authors were Irish cousins Edith Anna Oenone Somerville (1858-1949) and Violet Florence Martin (1862-1915), who wrote and illustrated a series of humorous fictional works on contemporary Irish society. This is an awkwardly large book and will mostly likely require additional postage. JS.

Autobiographical essays: life at Drishane and Castle Townsend, relatives, friends and characters, beggars, foxhunting, the West Carbery Hunt, life and sport in rural Ireland. Very good.

Condition: Good. 1st edition. General wear to boards. Hinges are a bit cracked. Content has even toning with previous owners sticker on the back of the ffep and writing on the half title page. No DJ.
