Richly illustrated throughout, contains OVER 700 WEAVING PATTERNS, COMPRISED OF THOUSANDS OF HAND-COLORED SQUARES in red, black, and blue. Also contains numerous b/w lithographs. Title translates to 'New Theoretical and Practical Treatise on the Manufacture of New Fabrics, Divided into Three Parts.' The book contains practical instruction on the manufacture of fabrics and textiles, including recipes for dye and mechanical plans for looms and other necessary machinery.
