paperback. Condition: Fair. Previous owner's name on Paris, 1886; French text; very poor condition, paper covers soiled, toned and chipped; front cover detached but present; binding of book overall very loose and book is split in half; much of spine cover chipped off; interior pages have some occasional light foxing but overall pretty clean; 8vo - over 7 3/4" - 9 3/4" Tall; 780 pages; Additional shipping charges may be required for International and Expedited orders.

Rilegato. Condition: molto buono. prima edizione. Un volume in 8°, cm. 15 x 24, rilegato in mezza tela ottocentesca con piatti cartonati e titolo in costa. Pagine XII - 780 compresi gli indici editoriali e con 300 incisioni di strumenti, portate, mise-en-place. Modesti segni del tempo, piccoli danni alla cerniera. Opera massiccia e ben legata, pilastro della cucina d'oltralpe, in francese. Molto buono. §§§§§§§§§§ Richiedere il costo di spedizione raccomandata all'estero. E' consigliato il pagamento tramite paypal per accelerare i tempi di spedizione.

Loose Leaf. Condition: Acceptable. Text in French. Some previous owner created a book case for this book. All pages are unbound. It wraps around the book, is lined in colorful felt. Then a felt case is futher wrapped around the book with a tie closure. Paper is the wrapped from top to bottom of the book also with a tie closure. I was able to pull out a few pages from the front as well as the back. There are a couple of previous owner names inked on the front cover. Some pages, at least in the back have some tape along the top edge to prevent tearing. I was looking for a colophon in the back but found none. From what I can tell, it appears to be complete.

fort vol. in-8, XII-780 pp., illustrations en noir dans le texte, demi-chagrin cerise, dos à nerfs orné de filets, fleurons et guirlandes dorés, tête rouge, couverture et dos conservés (reliure moderne). Bon exemplaire. Unique édition. L'ouvrage est peu commun, en dépit de son caractère très pratique et pédagogique, et ne semble avoir connu aucune réédition.Vicaire, 797 (donne 1885 comme année d'édition, ce qui ne se retrouve pas ailleurs).
