Some of the material was previously published in the âTown and Country Journal'. (No date, but 1900, Trove. Book adverts at rear. This is not the first edition, but the rarer later variant edition of the same year, which has some poems omitted, and replaced by mock South African [Boer] War reports inserted, on pp. 67 / 68, 115 / 116, 161 / 162 and 221.
