Condition: Very Good. London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd., 1962. First Edition. Octavo; blue pictorial card wrappers reproducing an Adire Cloth design; 124 + [4]pp. publisher's advertisements. Wraps show light wear with a few nicks to corners; mild curling to corners; slight lean but binding sound; ownership inscription of a Betty King of Tabora (Tanzania) to preliminaries, a couple interior chips, else unmarked. Very Good. Includes chapters on meal planning, cooking methods, numerous recipes, and a chart giving the equivalents of foodstuffs in terms of Players No. 3 cigarette tins, which was a common measurement in Nigeria. The Adire Cloth design used for the upper cover illustration signifies a man well-satisfied.
