Seinem Interesse für Literatur verdankt er, daß er schon 1904 Sigmund Freuds Vorlesung hörte. Er zählte bald zu den engeren Schülern Freuds. Unter den Nazis emigrierte Sachs in die USA, wo er nach dem 2. Weltkrieg als Professor für Psychoanalyse in Harvard verstarb. Hinter dem Pseudonym Daniel Sta Wer verbirgt sich der expressionistische Dichter Ernst Blass. Er starb 1939 in Berlin an Tbc. Hanns Sachs (* 10. Januar 1881 in Wien, Österreich-Ungarn; 10.
