S. by Peter Stageman, with Introductory Essays by Sacheverell Sitwell and Geoffrey Lapage. Published by The Golden Head Press, Cambridge, 1955. No. 362 out of a limited edition of 500. Hand numbered. Gosse was an English naturalist and scientist, and inventor of the seawater aquarium. Very good, approaching near fine, burgundy cloth hardback. A few small marks and minor bumps on the cover. Text is beautifully clean with a hand coloured frontispiece. Dimensions: Approximately 221mm x 144mm x 12mm. Frontispiece + xi + 87pp + 5 plates.

Condition: Used - Very Good. VG hardback. 1st ed. No.62 of a limited edition of 480 copies. A tidy copy in tight binding. Pencilled note on front free end paper reads 'Harold Wright Xmas 1955 (from Sylvia Gosse)'. Included is a 4-side (2 page) handwritten letter dated Dec.15 '55, apparently from Sylvia Gosse to Harold Wright, but its authenticity has not been verified. Red biro note in a different hand identifies Harold Wright. Used - Very Good. VG hardback.
