Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - This book is an exploration of the world through the author's extensive travel and a variety of his artistic expressions. It includes the struggles and setbacks that he endured as well as the successes and new beginnings that were provided by God. Along his journey, the author discovered hi…s purpose and clearly heard his calling. After a lifetime full of many adventures, he returned to the faith he had as a child. At last, he realized that God had always been with him. And now God continues to protect him, encourage him, bless him, and speak through him. Stan Jacobs was born in Colorado in 1943 and grew up in Kansas. He has a BFA from Washburn University of Topeka, an MFA from the University of Kansas, and a PhD from Texas Tech University. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1969. In 1971, Stan started the art department at Midland College and advanced to Associate Vice President of instruction, overseeing four academic divisions. After retirement in 2012, Stan has continued to teach at MC as well as doing stone carving, wood carving, bronze casting, and drawing, especially caricatures. He currently volunteers in the community, especially mentoring young people. Stan has visited over sixty countries and drawn caricatures in almost all of them. He has served as a missionary from Christ Church (Anglican) for the past twenty-four years teaching English and sharing the Christian Gospel in Russia, Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This is the story of a boy who grew into a man without ever losing his childlike wonder. From star-filled nights in Big Bend country to the shimmering constellations he greeted like old friends, his curiosity about the universe shaped the way he saw the world-and the God who created it.His j…ourney led him across the globe to the New Seven Wonders of the World and the ancient Great Pyramids of Egypt. Whether climbing the tight passage to Khufu's burial chamber, standing alone before the Taj Mahal at dawn, balancing on the Great Wall of China, or watching children play beneath the Roman Colosseum, he embraced each moment with awe. This book also tells the story of an artist, teacher, and natural entertainer-one whose joy drew children near and whose gifts helped shape future generations. Through art, laughter, and faith, he touched lives deeply, inspiring young people who would one day share the Gospel in many languages. This item is printed on demand.
