Softcover. Condition: Good. 50pp stapled booklet, with numerous illustrations and figures in text. In light card covers. 8vo. Covers a little worn and faded, lightly rubbed on corners with some minor scuffing at base of spine. Previous owner's name in top right corner. Pages a little toned in margins, else internally neat and tidy. Until the Moment Distribution Method was introduced by Prof Hardy Cave in 1930, analysis of continuous beams with unsymmetrical spans and loadings was, in all but the simplest cases, lengthy, laborious and error prone. In this leaflet, Basil Standings sets out the Moment Distribution Method, its applications and advantages.
