Period brown cloth cover with Badminton library scene on front and Gilt cricketer on spine. Endpapers Decorated with Swan and Ship motifs. Frontis illus protected by tissue guard. Title page has vignette of cricketer in the stands. 12 preliminary pages, main text 429 pages. Some edge wear and a few nicks at spine ends. Cloth a little worn at tips of fore corners. No inscriptions. Some small spots of foxing. Near VG condition.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Gilt emblem to cover - pages top edge gilt. Pages leading edge rough cut. Spine has been re-covered. A very clean bright tight copy.

Illustrated. A thorough look at the history of the game, as well as rules and procedures. Red leather with some rubbing, toning to spine; raised spine bands; gilt top edge; light edgewear and rubbing. Binding is square; unmarked internally. Some typical toning and spotting. Overall, very tidy. A nice copy for the sports enthusiast.
