Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 4 etched plates. 81-87 mm. x 192-195 mm. mounted on larger sheets. modern wrs. (small pieces chipped from 2 corners of 'Aqua' etching with very slight loss to 1 corner). First States of 'Ignis' and 'Aer'; Second States of 'Terra' and 'Aqua'; all without the addition of 'N.Langlois' before the words 'ex. Cum Privil. Regis Christ.', the two second state plates with numbers added. De Vesme 753-56.

No Binding. Condition: Good. Stef. Della Bella. (illustrator). Reversed image therefore an early engraved copy printed on early laid paper. Trimmed close to edges with a small margin, as common in these early prints, laid onto paper with a hand painted margin. Some light foxing, but generally in very good condition. The image is reversed when a copy is made onto a plate for printing. The printing method in this instance is a copper plate with the lines drawn in the metal. The metal plate inked and paper placed on top and pressed, making a copy of the image but reversed. The image was used as Plate 10 in Drawing basics Circa 1641.Sheet size 9 x 10 cm (3.5 x 4 inches) approximate measurements.
