Enumerates socialist schemes (Luis Alberto Sanchez and APRA, Juan Bosch challenging Rafael Trujillo), laments the loss of comrades, criticizes Fidel Castro and communism, and echoes the concept of mestizaje (?plasmando un nuevo hombre / libre de ideologias y partidos / un hombre de tierra y maiz / mezcla de Biblia y Popol Vuh / El hombre del Siglo XXI / sera el hombre de Latinoamerica?). Baciu fled Romania and defected in the 1940s. He traveled extensively throughout Latin America, was involved with the Congress for Cultural Freedom, was a professor at US institutions, and was an ardent critic of communism in the Americas.
