The blender was making it's debut, well a bit past that but it was becoming more than a malted milk maker. Stegner remains cautious in her recipes, no wild ingrediants or measurment will be found between these pages. "(Stegner, was). a Home Economics Consultant for Waring Blenders, the author has devoted a great deal of time and thought and experiment to developing the use of the blender to fields outside beverages. Even so, the Table of Contents will astound anyone who is not a "blender addict":- soups, salad dressings, beverages, hot breads, spreads and sauces, desserts, sherbets and ice creams, cakes and cookies, pies, crusts, vegetables, main courses, sauces, conserves, etc., etc. Some of the recipes sound intriguing- and adjustable to electric mixers, with different timing. Others seemed a bit farfetched for preparation in a blender. " Kirkus Review. ; 8 X 5.60 X 0.80 inches.
