The dust jacket shows minor overall shelf wear with some very, very light edge wear along the top and bottom edges which is heavier with some very, very light chipping along the top and bototm spine edges and the right corners plus some very light scattered overall rubbing and soiling. plus there is a small closed tear (about 0.25") on the top spine edge. The events depicted rane from the court of Kublai Khan during the first European visit to China by Marco Polo, the world of Mozambique when Vasco da Gama in the 16th century, the Hawaiian Islands when Captain Cook saw them in the 18th century, and the Africa experienced by David Livingstone.
