Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. First American Edition. (modest wear to extremities, but generally a good sound copy]. Novel in which (as described by a contemporary reviewer) "a beautiful young girl ripe for love becomes hard, promiscuous and vulgarized through necessity and with a very slow self-realization." The author wrote a half-dozen or so novels (this being the second) between the late 1920s and the late 1940s, but I've been unable to uncover any biographical information about him (or her); according to OCLC, "L. Steni" is a pseudonym, but that's as much as I know.
