Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Stephen Gooden (illustrator). First Thus. In wonderfully bright, lovely condition. The boards look almost as fresh as new with crisp title lettering on both front board and spine. There is a short, neat gift inscription on the front paste down page, dated 1941 which is half obscured by the front flap of the dust jacket, and a small stamp in the bottom hinge edge corner of the back paste down for "The Times Book Club, 41 Wigmore Street, W1." and a little light toning to the end papers. Otherwise the pages are in beautifully clean condition. The jacket is still fairly bright and not price clipped, showing the original price of 5/- albeit there is a little fading to the spine and the back cover, having been white is somewhat toned looking. There is also light edge wear with a little loss at the head of the spine. What a lovely copy.
