Magazine. Condition: Good. Norb Meyer (Cover Illustration) (illustrator). 32 pages, including covers. . Oversized format, measuring 11 inches by 8-1/2 inches. Some soiling to covers. The subject of their feature article for the month is The Career of SS-Obersturmfuhrer Michel Wittmann by Lt. Dwight C. McLemore. Other articles include Micro-Armor in Review, The History of the 610th Tank Destroyer Battalion, Armor G2, Panzer Decorations of the German Wehrmacht, The Defense of Sicily by the 15, Panzer-Grenadier-Division, Pt. 1, and Organization chart: Panzer-Funklenk-Kompanie, 1944. An armored fighting vehicle (AFV) is an armed combat vehicle protected by armour, generally combining operational mobility with offensive and defensive capabilities. AFVs can be wheeled or tracked. Main battle tanks, armoured cars, armoured self-propelled guns, and armoured personnel carriers are all examples of AFVs. Armoured fighting vehicles are classified according to their intended role on the battlefield and characteristics. The classifications are not absolute; two countries may classify the same vehicle differently, and the criteria change over time. For example, relatively lightly armed armoured personnel carriers were largely superseded by infantry fighting vehicles with much heavier armament in a similar role. Successful designs are often adapted to a wide variety of applications. For example, the MOWAG Piranha, originally designed as an APC, has been adapted to fill numerous roles such as a mortar carrier, infantry fighting vehicle, and assault gun.

Magazine. Condition: good. 26 cm, 48 pages. Wraps. Map. Illustrations (black and white). Covers somewhat worn and soiled. Pencil erasure on table of contents. Fusiliers is a name given to various kinds of soldiers; its meaning depends on the historical context. While fusilier is derived from the 17th-century French word fusil - meaning a type of flintlock musket - the term has been used in contrasting ways in different countries and at different times, including soldiers guarding artillery, various elite units, ordinary line infantry and other uses. Cover illustration is a modern-day Fusilier, the German Panzer-grenadier of World War II wearing typical reversible German camouflage winter clothing and carrying a MP44 machine carbine, rendered by LT. Bruce Weigle (USAF). The read cover has two photos of the Soviet SA-4 "Gannet" Anti-aircraft Guided Missile (SAM) on its mobile launching vehicle. This publication may have ceased after Volume 2, number 2 (a total of six issues) as no reference to later issues have been found. Among the articles in this premier issue are: Regimental Cap Badges of the British Army (Part 1); Service Uniforms of the Italian Army (Part 1), German Ski-Jager Insignia, British Decorations for Valor (Part 1); French Airborne Beret Insignia, and several articles on miniature figures. Baron Publishing Company may also have ceased operations, as an internet search did not find information indicating is was currently operating. Presumed First Edition, First printing thus.
