Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the history and practice of women's criminal rehabilitation in New York State through the analysis of case studies and historical data gathered by the authors. At the time of its writing, there was a lack of data on the rehabilitation of female criminals and this boo…k sought to provide rehabilitation centers with information they could use to tailor their approaches to the specific needs of each woman. The authors also sought to use these case studies to understand the root causes of female criminality and determine what role socioeconomic and environmental conditions played in a woman's decision to commit crimes. The data gathered by the authors provided valuable insights into the lives of female criminals in New York State and provided rehabilitation centers with much-needed information to improve the outcomes of the women in their care. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
