1st edition. Small 4to. pp. 216+[viii] of advertisements. Printed on good quality, heavy art paper. Given the publisher of this performance, one may safely assume that the sole reason for its existence is to make a fast buck from dirty pictures. However, having said that the book certainly contains a surprisingly rich variety of erotic art ranging from hardcore pornographic photos in colour to re- productions of illustrations from fine, limited edition erotica. Also includes: One panel each from "Gasoline Alley" and "Jiggs in 'Phew'". 'G.G. Stoctay, PhD' was the nom de plume of George Feigley, the charismatic leader of the 'Neo American Church,' which many called a sex cult (and is not to be confused with Arthur Kleps' psychedelic religion of the same name). His activities landed him in prison on various rape and morals charges, beginning in 1975. He escaped from prison twice, and two followers died in an apparent attempt to break him out again. He served, overall, approximately 32 years in prison, was released in 2008 and died the following year. Some people who have followed his case closely believe that his wife was involved in faking his death. Original wrappers. Light shelfwear. Very good.

4to. Unpaged. Illustrated throughout. A survey of American pornographic photography "from the Civil War to today." None of the photographs actually appear to date from the Civil War, and most have ludicrous captions- "The Models Appear Inexperienced" is a good example. There are also a few reproductions of erotic art from books, which have preposterous captions as well, including two by Paul Avril, dating from about 1910, but which are stated to have been done sixty years earlier. Despite these shortcomings, however, the majority of the photographs are genuinely old, and include subject matter that is often overlooked in similar surveys of this sort. Altogether an interesting collection. 'G.G. Stoctay, PhD' was the nom de plume of George Feigley, the charismatic leader of the 'Neo American Church,' which many called a sex cult (and is not to be confused with Arthur Kleps' psychedelic religion of the same name). He served, overall, approximately 32 years in prison, was released in 2008 and died the following year. Some people who have followed his case closely believe that his wife was involved in faking his death. Large trade paperback. Light shelfwear. Pages age-toned. Else, very good.

Certainly a book of its time, centering on the sexual power of the female in a time of free love and casual hook-ups. OCLC locates only one copy at UCLA. Light bumping spine ends.
