Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. The text is mostly in German, with some parts in English. In English, title is "Irish Texts: Translations and Dictionary". Appears to be Volume II (Zweite Serie) of a set. This volume contains two issues (German used is "Heft") in sequence: the first is from 1884, and the second is from 1887. There are 2 main defects with this book. First, the book has a group of 3 attached pages that are separated from the binding: the errata page at the end of the first issue, the title page of the second issue, and the table of contents of the second issue. Otherwise, all pages are intact. Second, the exterior of the top of the spine is falling off, and the top half of the front board spine joint is cracked from the outside (although the pastedown paper is still intact). Otherwise, the text is very handsome for age - pages are bright, clean, and clear of writing, markings, highlighting, etc. Hinges are sound. Binding is in great shape for age - loosened with age, but robust and firm without splitting in gutters. Previous owner bookplate and stamp on front endpaper. Very minor blemishing on some pages throughout (e.g., finger smudge). Hardcover board edges and corners rubbed and exposed in spots. Chunk of exterior of spine missing near bottom. Scratching and blemishing on boards.
