First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Oblong quarto. Heavily illustrated with halftone photographs and engravings. Brick cloth illustrated in gilt. The textblock, once bound in by the endleaves only, has been neatly reinforced with archival tissue at the spine and hinges, binding with modest general wear, page edges and preliminary and terminal leaves lightly foxed, very good and sound. Uncommon.
