Magazine. 68p. including covers 8.5x11 inches, articles, features, reviews, listings, illustrated with b&w photos and ads, mailing label on cover else a good semi-glossy entertainment magazine in lightly-worn stapled pictorial wraps. Cover story and photo by Kenn Duncan of two models in Mod stripes, "1776" review, "Oh! Calcutta!" ACT in San Francisco, Robert Downey's "Putney Swope, etc. The numbering of the volumes is illogical in the beginning years up to about 1971. "After Dark" was originally "Ballroom Dance Magazine" which ended with its volume 9, #4. The new magazine's first issue continued the numbering of the previous magazine and so issue #1 is stated as volume 10, #1. By the third year of the magazine they changed the numbering to volume 1, #1. A fine magazine of arts, stage, dance and music that bridged the gap between gay and straight readers in the 1970s-80s.

(Seltene) erste Ausgabe des legendären (etwas primitiv gezeichneten) Underground-Comics. Der in Holland geborene, in Indonesien aufgewachsene anarchistische Autor war aktiver Provo, druckte meist deren Publikationen und gründete in Amsterdam die 'Real Free Press', die vor allem amerikanische Underground-Comics importierte. "The only publisher running completely on dope". Hier wird die Wirkung verschiedener Drogen wie Marihuana, LSD, Peyote, Tranquillizern usw. in Comicform dargestellt. Ohne das fast immer fehlende 'Poster' "Het masker van morgen' (28,5x20 cm.). Wird als der allererste Underground-Strip im Europa angesehen. Sprache: Niederländisch.
