Part of the lovely series Windermere seriesof classic works of literature designed for young readers, each illustrated by a noted artist. There is also a full-color frontispiece & 4 full-color internal illustrations, all by artist Paul Strayer. A FIRST EDITION in this format from 1935 (first, thus), this hardcover is in VG- condition: generally very clean, with random smudges & light soil. The binding is strong & square, but front hinge is cracked, rear one starting.
