Hardcover, was issued without a dustjacket, a beautiful copy of this scarce children's book, two minor flaws only: publisher's glue-tanning along the front inner hinge and a tiny area of wear to the bottom rear corner, unique textured, illustrated boards and end-papers, sturdy double-paged text, decorations/illustrations throughout the text, a rather strange story about the "frost-slain Crocus twins".
