Volume I: a biography of Schubert and a critique of his vocal compositions; 137 pp., illustrated with eight full page illustrations and including various Indexes. Volume II: a selection of the Schubert's vocal music; 106 pp., illustrated with 16 watercolours by Anton Pieck. Boards show handling and shelf wear but the binding is tight. Age toning to the eps and edges of the block but the illustrations are bright; gift dedication on the ffep.
