Simultaneously, Ezekiel employs the oath's exodus connotations to support a disguised polemic that resists Babylonian claims that YHWH was powerless to help the exiles. Ezekiel, thus, shares the 'monotheistic' concepts found in Deutero-Isaiah and elsewhere. Finally, using James C.
