Written for young children, the book, with b/w photos, will delight all ages. Dandelions, now worldwide, is a native of Europe. Because of It's ragged edged leaves, the French named it "lion's tooth" (dent-de-lion), which gave rise to it's English common name. The plant's yellow flowers bloom through out the year, is not one blossom, but a full bouquet of flowers. Neither is ithe plant a "weed" ; there are dandelions farms --- young leaves for salads, mature greens & roots cooked, browned roots baked then ground for a special coffee or peeled then boiled as a vegetable!
