Dusty-rose colored cloth with gilt lettering and green and white rose bush on spine and white lettering and green, black and white artwork of a woman with a quilt, seated in a rocking chair on the front board, beautifully illustrated in black and white throughout, 295 pp. Heartwarming homespun tales from Kentucky of life, love and war. Owner name and date (Ceres Williamson, Sept. 1911), sunning on spine and pages are tanned with age but overall a good solid book and a delightful look back at the early days in American history. Good.

It seems to have first appeared in Cosmopolitan magazine from 1907 to 1909 (obviously a different creature from today's magazine). This is its first appearance in book form. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
