Condition: Very Good. Cabinet card depicting a mountainous scene along the Colorado & Northwestern Railway. Photo measures 7 ½" x 4 ½". Photographer and title in the negative, no content on verso. Mount has contemporary marginalia on top edge; bottom right corner is chipped; glue residue on verso. The Colorado & Northwestern was a 36" gauge railroad that operated in and west of Boulder, Colorado. The image depicts railroad tracks in the foreground, a rocky hillside in the background with a train pictured in the top right corner. The photographer of this image, Joseph Bevier Sturtevant was active in Boulder, Colorado from 1887 to 1901 (Mautz p. 209).
