Scarce in any condition, this copy complete from page [3] through 288, with all plates [OCLC notes a Part Seventh and Eighth, not present here]. Professionally restored: spine lifted and backed with brown Japanese paper. Boards reattached and refurbished; first two leaves mended. Front endpaper replaced; rear mended. Long closed tear to final leaf of text. General title page notes Third Edition 1834. Possibly lacking a separate title page for Part First. Thereafter, each Part has a title page with no edition stated, Part 2: 1834, the others 1835. Continuous paging, including the Numbers of the Panoramic Dictionary that are interspersed in Parts Fifth and Sixth. Tideline to foot of leaves up to p. 120, leaves toned and fore-edge quite crispy to there as well - as if in close proximity to a few errant experiments. Textblock secure.
