Broschur / Softcover. 1. Aufl. Sprache : Englisch, Dutch / Arabic - // The Cybermohalla project takes on the meaning of the Hindi word ``mohalla`` (neighborhood) in its sense of alleys and corners, relatedness and concreteness, as a means for talking about one`s ``place`` in the city. Initiated by the Delhi-based research institute Sarai/CSDS and Ankur, Nikolaus Hirsch and Michel Müller developed a project that involves approximately seventy young practitioners, the Cybermohalla Ensemble, who engage with their urban contexts through various media. Cybermohalla Hub, a hybrid of studio, school, archive, community center, library, and gallery is a structure that moves between Delhi and diverse art contexts including Manifesta 7 and, most recently, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. . Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. The first retrospective monograph on internationally acclaimed Danish artist's collective Superflex, An Artist with 6 Legs catalogues the group's work from 1993 to 2013. The first major museum retrospective for this group--known for their participatory, politically engaged projects which they call "tools"--is appropriately unconventional, comprised of eight individual retrospectives curated by Eungie Joo, Yuko Hasegawa, Toke Lykkeberg, Daniel McClean and Lisa Rosendahl, Adriano Pedrosa, Agustin Perez Rubio, Hilde Teerlinck and Rirkrit Tiravanija. Kunsthal Charlottenborg also signed a contract prohibiting the institution, the artists or the curators from mentioning the group by name during the exhibition's run--hence the replacement of the name "Superflex" with a black bar or the characters "XXXXXXX throughout the catalogue. An Artist with 6 Legs is both conceptual provocation and an essential reference. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Broschur / Softcover. 1. Aufl. Sprache : Englisch - // ``Reprototypes, Triangulations and Road Tests`` brings together seven seminal works by Simon Starling and Superflex in a dialogical setting--among them ``Exposition`` (2004), ``Three Birds, Seven Stories, Interpolation and Bifurcations`` (2007-08), ``D1 - Z1 (22,686,575:1)`` (2009), ``Black Out`` (2009), and ``Kuh`` (2012). These works ``collapse`` as unstable complexes around pertinent themes whose triangulated speculations are articulated by undisciplined objects, piercing through the layers of time and history and revisiting long-held certainties. Posited as ``reprototypes,`` they reveal various strategies for siting the contemporary within the modern, resuscitating objects and innovations out of obsolescence, testing their contemporary vitality and thus disrupting the self-sufficiency of the modernist canon .
