Philadelphia: Sweisfort & Bechtel, [ca. 1870s1880s]. [36]pp. 5¾ x 3¼ inches. Printed stiff-paper wrappers. Rubbing to covers; very good. Unrecorded tobacco and cigar advertising and memorandum book by Philadelphia proprietors, Sweisfort & Bechtel. Numerous branded cigars are described, and a nice variety of typefaces and tobacco-themed aphorisms grace the pages, such as, "When fortune smiles on thee, take advantage and buy La Lotus Segars." National tobacco brands are advertised within are from: Baltimore, Richmond, Louisville and Covington Kentucky and Quincy, Illinois.
