Die drei Außenkanten sind deshalb verlagsseitig nicht beschnitten. Die Heftung ist nur leicht, damit der Buchbinder nicht allzuviel Arbeit beim Zerlegen der Buchblocks hat (etwas anderes als Fadenheftung war damals undenkbar). Sehr oft blieben diese Bände aber im originalen Zustand und es treten auf Grund der sehr leichten Bindung bzw. Heftung bestimmte Mängel auf, die aber nicht die gleiche Gewichtung haben, wie Mängel an einem fest gebundenen Buch. Solche sind z.B. abgelöste bzw. lockere Deckblätter, vertikale Brüche am Rücken u.ä. ++++++++++ Erhaltung der vorliegenden Exemplare: An den Rückenkanten oben u. unten kleine Fehlstellen, alle Deckblätter (incl. Rückseiten) sind vorhanden, teilweise mit abgeblätterten Eckchen (kein Textverlust). Die Einbände sind etwas bestaubt, die Buchblöcke innen sind sauber, fleckenlos u. ohne Eintragungen.
