Deux volumes petits in-12° (16, 7 x 10 cm), reliure de l'époque (veau marbré), dos lisses et faux caissons ornés de motifs floraux, 2 pièces de titre sur chacun des tomes en maroquin vert foncé. 1er tome: 318 pages, 2ème tome: 320 pages. Il s'agit bien, comme le dit le titre, d'un ouvrage anti-clérical racontant comment le clergé s'est affranchi peu à peu de ses liens avec le pouvoir politique. Pour le bien et pour le pire. L'auteur n'a pas signé son ouvrage et on le comprend mais son nom est attesté. Nos deux exemplaires sont en TRES BON ETAT.
