The Bye-Lanes and Downs of England, with Turf Scenes and Characters by Sylvanus (1859) and The School for Fathers: An Old English Story by Talbot Gwynne (1858). Brown leather boards with gilt lettering to front. Boards are generally in good order, just shelfwear. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is faded with bumping to ends, 4 raised bands. 323 + 281 pp. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. Additional photos are available upon request.
