Original light blue cloth with pink lettering and ruling on paper labels on cover and spine, protected by modern mylar. Collection of forty-eight nude photographs of females representing forty-three nationalities providing a wide variety of national types of female beauty. A remarkable feature of the book and the time is that more than half of its subjects are native types of various races of Africa, Asia, the Far East and the Pacific Islands. With an extensive foreword by the publishers on the anthropological characteristics of female types. The b/w photographs are taken by notable photographers including Walter Bird, Studio Manassé, Heinz von Perkhammer, E. O. Hoppé, Kälman Szöllösy, Lehnert & Landrock, John Everard, among others. Light wear along edges of binding with very light staining of back cover, upper corner at foredge lightly bumped, extending through block, not affecting images. Endpapers lightly browned. Binding and interior in overall good, photographs in fine condition.
