Chapters include -- Various Types of Pederasts; Curiosities of Pederastic Desire; Sexual Crimes of European Perverts; Celebrated Affairs and Trials for Criminal Eroticism; Erotomania and Ecstatic Pederastomania; Pederasty Among Boys- Preventions; Pederasts and Catamites- Russian Cases; Etc. The title page and frontis. illustration are printed in sepia-tone on rumpled parchment paper. There are three (3) plates -- two of them of Sergeant Bertrand, who exhumed female corpses for the purpose of having sex. The other plate is a photo of Oscar Wilde and Alfred Douglas, two English poets that had bad endings. In back is a lengthy Bibliography of Important Works Treating with Inversion and Pederasty, an amazingly large number of books for a topic usually kept under the carpet or in the closet. This book is in my inventory and the images are of this particular item *** Bound in brown paper boards with small pictorial gilt on the front cover. The spine is white parchment with a printed gilt label. The covers have light wear and soil with a linear mark on front cover. The spine is lightly browned and there is some brown spotting along front joint. Fore edge and bottom edge of page block are deckle. The contents are clean and complete in a good binding. *** 10 inches tall by 6.75 inches.
