Von 1927 bis 1929 fungierte er als Schriftleiter der Deutschen Republik. Zudem war er ständiger Mitarbeiter der Reichsbannerzeitung und schrieb unter Pseudonym über innenpolitische Themen. 1940 wurde er Pariser Korrespondent der Zeitschrift Zeitungswissenschaft."
