Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. John Alcorn (illustrator). First Edition. Smith's first novel. Made into a movie. This is a quite nice copy - very clean, tight, crisp - as if unread. Blue cloth boards are unbumped with bright titles. An ex-library book, but our professional book conservationist has removed the library stamps (one inside, two on edges) and also removed the card pocket from last blank page (a little bit of puckering remains). There were two small library notations in ballpoint that couldn't be completely removed - a faint impression still shows. Also there are tape ghosts to exterior boards. The dust jacket is nearly perfect with some wear/discoloration to the flap tips only. Bright, glossy, unclipped and sharp-edged. Really a very presentable copy.
