Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Illustrated boards. Light edgewear. Previous owner's name neatly written on front cover. Foot of spine pushed; spine scuffed and a little discolored. Bookseller label on title page, else interior is clean, pages crisp. Beautiful color illustrations on every page. 75 pages. 9.5 x 7 inches. Juvenile fiction. The story of the life and career of Gile Fontennes, a late-13th century artisan in France, tracing his life from his youth and apprenticeship through his accomplished years, lovingly illustrated by the illustrator Jacques Touchet (1887-1949). Depicts many aspects of life that an artisan of this milieu would have encountered.
