First edition of this book of recipes "all of which owe their final excellence to the skillful use of wine in their preparation" by the family of the prolific avant-garde writer Robert Carlton Brown, who presaged the advent of the e-reader in a 1930 essay entitled "The Readies" in "Transition" (Paris, #19/20, pp16…7-73), which called for a new "Reading Machine." Near fine to fine with only the slightest age darkening to endpaperes; in dust jacket darekened at spine and edges and with few tiny nicks and just a touch of rubbing, otherwise near fine.
