Y. , and Elheurah of Hartford, Conn. , were sunk, and the outgoing steamer Powhatan of the Merchants and Miners' Transportation Company was slightly damaged. This is the Brief for "Powhatan". Nos. 920, 921, 922 Contents include Statement of the Case, Undisputed Facts, Assignments of Error, Navigation of the "Baxter", Navigation of the barges "Allen" and "Elheurah", Navigation of the "Powhatan", and more. CONDITION: Lacking the rear cover. The front cover has been reattached, and repaired on the inside with archival document tape. The paper spine covering is all but worn away. The title page has been repaired at the inside hinge. There is chipping to the front cover and last blank page. Damp staining to the lower edges of the last 2 pages and last blank page. Small closed tears top edge of page 73 in the margin only. 7 by 11 Inches, 73 Pages. Pamphlet. . Deskdr 1 Very Good with No dust jacket as issued.

Huntley wrote on 18th March 1843 from Boxwell, Gloucestershire, his Est…ate & printed by Gilbert & Rivington London & most likely just printed so the author could give to friends & relevant people. At time of listing a quick net check found no information on this pamphlet, let alone for sale. ( Boxwell Court was the Hunley family Estate & he latter lived at Sovereign Street, London). 14 x 21.5cm Approx.
