First Edition
Condition: Fair. 1924. First Printing. 233 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpaper. Thumb-marking present to some pages. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Stain to front board.

No marks in text.There is considerable wear from use, the spine is creased, and there is tanning due to age on page edges. There is a hinge/binding crack between pages 164-165, but as of listing all pages are still attached to the text block/binding. Overall acceptable condition otherwise. This is the 4th printing, from August 1956.
